FAQs
Please see frequently asked questions, or if you still don’t have your answer, reach out to our race director Erchana at hello@erchana.com
Should you wish to withdraw from the event BEFORE JUNE FIRST we will refund your entry, minus an administration fee ($10)
Should you wish to withdraw from the event AFTER the first of June, as per the conditions of entry, we will not be able to refund your entry.
Why? Many reasons, but mostly because a significant portion of your entry fee will have already been spent on printing bibs, a timing chip, permit inclusions etc. Unfortunately, we can’t make any exception to this rule, however, you can at least be happy knowing that a large percentage of this fee will be donated to Currumbin Wildlife Hospital, so you are doing your bit for the community
WHAT ABOUT…CAN I TRANSFER MY ENTRY TO ANOTHER PERSON?
Now this one is a YES. Because it makes sense - the money we have already invested from your entry fee on goods and services in preparation for you attuning the event, can be applied to the replacement money and no one loses out then! Email hello@erchana.com for more information.
Absolutely. This is encouraged. Please keep in mind that we don’t have the resources to sweep the beach prior to the event, so it’s at your own risk in case you step on a sharp shell or a jellyfish!
We also will go with the flow with tides, so the softness of the sand will all be up to luck on the morning.
If unsure, or you don't want anything to get in the way of your time, chuck on some sneakers.
Music, vibes, local coffee and community! Oh, and first aid, water and toilets (phew).
Uh-mazing! We’d love to have you! Just reach out to Erchana, our race director, at hello@erchana.com and we will be in touch asap.
Our incredible sponsors have kindly donated an incredible array of prizes from store vouchers, to merchandise and running supplies! All random prize winners will be announced at the presentation.
Only those in attendance will receive prizes, as they will not be sent out after the event.
The goal of the Burleigh Beach Blast is to raise money for wildlife, without adding stuff to the environment. Medals are rad, but it’s just another thing that will one day end up in landfill, even the really good ones. Our philosophy is zero waste, so you can compete knowing you’re minimising your footprint.
There will be a random prize draw at 8.20am, with incredible goodies and vouchers from our sponsors, so there is a chance you could come away with something very cool.
As with medals, we want to keep this event waste free, (we love the ocean) so we will not be supplying water bottles or plastic cups on race day. However, we 100% want you to stay hydrated!! All you need to do is bring your reusable water bottle from home and we will have water stations for you to refill to your hearts content!
If you forget, no drama, we will also have some paper cups with RunX nutrition electrolytes (how good!)
